演講主題:

台灣物理奧林匹亞選手選拔—資優人才的培育

摘要:

1962年第四次全國教育會議提出台灣應該要有數理資優學生的培育,並於隔年開始實施各項資優教育的實驗計畫,並制定特殊教育法的制訂(吳武典,1996),成理資優實驗班,然而當時沒有出國參加國際數理科學奧林匹亞的競賽,所有選拔的學生都是由成績優異的學生中選出,例如當時的數理資優營。但隨著90年代在教育部推動下,數理學科陸續加入了奧林匹亞競賽,台灣學生得以躍上國際舞台,進而使得參加國際競賽是數理資優教育的一項指標。廿多年以來,培育的參加國際奧林匹亞選手超過7百多位國手。物理奧林匹亞的選訓工作相當嚴謹,過程中選擇出許多資優的學生,在國際上的表現也相當突出。本次報告會說明選訓的過程,和參加國際賽之前的培訓過程;這個過程是一整年,學生應該準備了很久,他們是有很足夠時間去思考問題,很有耐心、和毅力。由這些年的經驗知道,多半成為國手的學生,基本上是三方面的配合:父母的管教與耐心陪伴、老師的引導與教學相長;同儕的模仿與相互激勵!
