Abstract \/\u00a0\u6458\u8981<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, computers help us work with huge amounts of information, including structured data (such as numerical, categorical, and network data) and unstructured data (such as text, images, and audio), across many application domains. However, due to the current big data boom, showing everything in detail on a screen quickly becomes infeasible. Instead of helping us understand, visual overload can overwhelm our brains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visualization is a field of computer science that combines the computing power of machines with human perception to amplify cognition and help people gain insight into large and complex datasets. In this talk, I focus on how computers organize data and visual representations so that complex information becomes accessible not only to domain experts but also to students and the general public. The goal is to reduce visual clutter and help people focus on what truly matters. To achieve this, ideas from computer science, human behavior, and visual design are integrated. Our framework is based on networks\u2014structures made of nodes and connections, like social networks or subway maps. It consists of three main components: (1) Data-Driven Geometry Management, (2) Human\u2013Data Interaction Management, and (3) Visual-Enhanced Perception Management. By understanding how computers organize visual information, we can design clearer visual outputs, more intuitive interactions, and digital tools that work with our brains rather than against them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Introduction \/ <\/strong>\u7c21\u4ecb<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof. Hsiang-Yun Wu is an FH Professor at the Department of Media and Digital Technologies, St. P\u00f6lten University of Applied Sciences in Austria. After receiving her MSc from National Taiwan University and her PhD from The University of Tokyo, she served as a Project Assistant Professor at both The University of Tokyo and Keio University. She was also a Guest Researcher at the Center for Spatial Information Science at The University of Tokyo from 2015 to 2023. From 2017 to 2019, Prof. Wu was a Marie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie Individual Fellow at the Institute of Visual Computing & Human-Centered Technology, TU Wien, under the EU Horizon 2020 program, and later served as a Senior Researcher at TU Wien from 2019. Her research expertise lies in information visualization, visual analytics, and graph drawing algorithms, and she has authored or co-authored over 80 academic publications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hsiang-Yun Wu\u6559\u6388\u76ee\u524d\u4efb\u8077\u65bc\u5967\u5730\u5229\u8056\u6ce2\u723e\u5766\u61c9\u7528\u79d1\u5b78\u5927\u5b78\uff0c\u64d4\u4efb\u5a92\u9ad4\u8207\u6578\u4f4d\u79d1\u6280\u5b78\u7cfbFH\u6559\u6388\u3002\u5979\u65bc\u570b\u7acb\u53f0\u7063\u5927\u5b78\u53d6\u5f97\u78a9\u58eb\u5b78\u4f4d\uff0c\u4e26\u65bc\u6771\u4eac\u5927\u5b78\u7372\u5f97\u535a\u58eb\u5b78\u4f4d\u5f8c\uff0c\u5148\u5f8c\u64d4\u4efb\u6771\u4eac\u5927\u5b78\u8207\u6176\u61c9\u7fa9\u587e\u5927\u5b78\u4e4b\u5c08\u6848\u52a9\u7406\u6559\u6388\u30022015 \u5e74\u81f3 2023 \u5e74\u9593\uff0c\u5979\u4ea6\u64d4\u4efb\u6771\u4eac\u5927\u5b78\u7a7a\u9593\u8cc7\u8a0a\u79d1\u5b78\u4e2d\u5fc3\uff08Center for Spatial Information Science\uff09\u7684\u5ba2\u5ea7\u7814\u7a76\u54e1\u3002\u5728 2017 \u5e74\u81f3 2019 \u5e74\u9593\uff0c\u5979\u7372\u5f97\u6b50\u76df\u300c\u5c55\u671b2020\u8a08\u756b\u300d\u4e4b\u300c\u746a\u9e97\u5c45\u91cc\u500b\u4eba\u7814\u7a76\u734e\u52a9\u300d\uff0c\u65bc\u7dad\u4e5f\u7d0d\u79d1\u6280\u5927\u5b78\u8996\u89ba\u8a08\u7b97\u8207\u4eba\u672c\u79d1\u6280\u7814\u7a76\u6240\uff08Institute of Visual Computing & Human-Centered Technology\uff09\u9032\u884c\u7814\u7a76\uff0c\u4e26\u65bc 2019 \u5e74\u8d77\u64d4\u4efb\u7dad\u4e5f\u7d0d\u79d1\u6280\u5927\u5b78\u8cc7\u6df1\u7814\u7a76\u54e1\u3002Prof. Wu\u7684\u7814\u7a76\u5c08\u9577\u70ba\u8cc7\u8a0a\u8996\u89ba\u5316\u3001\u8996\u89ba\u5206\u6790\u8207\u5716\u5f62\u7e6a\u88fd\u6f14\u7b97\u6cd5\uff0c\u81f3\u4eca\u5df2\u767c\u8868\u8d85\u904e 80 \u7bc7\u5b78\u8853\u8ad6\u6587\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n
