She obtained her PhD degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at National Taiwan University at 2002 and then joined the laboratory of Dr. Mark Mamula for her postdoctoral training. She studied the role of protein modifications in lupus autoimmunity under Arthritis Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship.
