Dr. Lai Xu is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Science and Technology (SciTech) at Bournemouth University, UK. Previously, she was a Senior Researcher at SAP Research, Switzerland (2008-2010), a Senior Research Scientist and Research Leader at CSIRO ICT Centre, Australia (2006-2007), and a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute of Information and Computing Sciences at Utrecht University, the Netherlands (2004-2006) and the Department of Computer Science at the Free University Amsterdam, the Netherlands (2003-2004). She received her PhD in Computerized Information Systems from Tilburg University, the Netherlands, in 2004.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Xu is the coordinator of the EU H2020 FIRST project (2007-2022), a 1.2 million Euro project with 7 international partners. She has also been a PI or participant in 2 EU Integration FP7 projects, 3 UK projects, 2 Australian national projects, 3 Dutch projects, and 7 Chinese national projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is recognized as a UK representative in the IFIP Working Group 5.5 on Cooperation Infrastructure for Virtual Enterprises and Electronic Business (COVE) (2020-present). IFIP, the International Federation for Information Processing, is a global organisation for researchers and professionals in the field of computing to conduct research, develop standards, and promote information sharing. IFIP is recognised by the United Nations. She is also a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Computer Society and the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Xu serves on the editorial boards of the journal Frontiers in the Internet of Things (2022-present) and the International Journal of Simulation and Process Modeling (Inderscience) (2017-present). She is an expert reviewer for HORIZON projects for the EU, the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO, the Dutch Research Council), the Australian Research Council (ARC), and the National Science Foundation of China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u5979\u88ab\u8a8d\u53ef\u70ba\u570b\u969b\u4fe1\u606f\u8655\u7406\u806f\u5408\u6703\uff08IFIP\uff09\u5de5\u4f5c\u7d445.5\u7684\u865b\u64ec\u4f01\u696d\u8207\u96fb\u5b50\u5546\u52d9\u5408\u4f5c\u57fa\u790e\u8a2d\u65bd\uff08COVE\uff09\u82f1\u570b\u4ee3\u8868\uff082020\u81f3\u4eca\uff09\u3002IFIP\u662f\u806f\u5408\u570b\u8a8d\u53ef\u7684\u5168\u7403\u6027\u7d44\u7e54\uff0c\u5c08\u6ce8\u65bc\u8a08\u7b97\u9818\u57df\u7684\u7814\u7a76\u3001\u6a19\u6e96\u5236\u5b9a\u53ca\u4fc3\u9032\u8cc7\u8a0a\u5206\u4eab\u3002\u5979\u540c\u6642\u4e5f\u662f\u96fb\u6a5f\u96fb\u5b50\u5de5\u7a0b\u5e2b\u5b78\u6703\uff08IEEE\uff09\u8a08\u7b97\u6a5f\u5b78\u6703\u53ca\u8a08\u7b97\u6a5f\u5354\u6703\uff08ACM\uff09\u7684\u8cc7\u6df1\u6703\u54e1\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n
