結緣?傑源?從社會網絡角度論個人成就

摘要:

Sociologists have long argued with empirical evidence that social capital, in addition to human capital, is related to a person’s academic and professional achievement. Arguably, there are two foundations of social capital: First, the resources stored in the social networks around a person—the social foundation outside one’s brain, and second, the capability of a person to memorize and mobilize the social network information—the cognitive foundation inside a person’s brain. In this talk, I will give an overview of the two foundations and a brief discussion on how they shed light on the education of the young.
